Here’s the process to start organizing your keywords:
- Brainstorm keyword topics in the purple row on the brainstorming sheet.
- Under each topic, brainstorm variations of how to say each term (i.e. if your topic is Chicken Soup, you could list out How to make chicken soup, best chicken soup, chicken soup recipes, etc.)
- Once you’ve created a comprehensive list of variations, copy and paste your list of variations (including the topic) into a keyword research tool like Ahrefs, SEM Rush, or Google Keyword Planner.
- Export the data as CSV files.
- Import the data from your research tool into a clustering tool. Our favorite is KeywordInsights.AI.
- Once your data is clustered into groups, move your data into the template sheets to keep all of your data in one place.
- Highlight the keyword clusters you want to write for in a bright color to indicate what you’ll write for next.
