Patience isn't always a virtue

The Challenge

How do you build SEO authority in the competitive aerospace and government procurement industries?

Our primary challenge was to build their SEO strategy from the ground up to generate new leads. We needed to establish domain expertise in aerospace, aviation, and government procurement SEO. These categories are extremely competitive, as many other sites have high DRs, have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on their site, and are producing content constantly. Plus, the search volume isn’t very high, so we needed to crush those keywords.

The Journey

Competitive analysis to inform our SEO strategy

We began by analyzing competitors in the aerospace and government procurement space. Our focus was on identifying how they ranked for crucial keywords and key pages. This analysis informed our SEO strategy, guiding us on how to structure GovernmentProcurement.com’s content and technical elements to outperform the competition. At the time, Greenwood Aerospace’s existing website was not SEO-optimized—loading times were slow, and the site structure hindered search engine indexing. We knew a new, professional, SEO-optimized site was essential to rank and attract leads.

Designing a premium brand and an SEO-optimized website

To establish GovernmentProcurement.com as a trusted authority in the aerospace and government procurement sectors, we designed a professional, SEO-optimized website with a focus on both ranking and conversion. The site wasn’t just built for speed and search engine indexing—it was strategically crafted to guide visitors through a simple journey, from landing pages to contact forms, optimizing every touchpoint for lead generation.

Writing copy and content that converts

With the site structure in place, we focused on developing SEO-optimized content tailored to the aerospace industry. Knowing that long-form content performs best for ranking in competitive, technical sectors, we crafted in-depth articles on topics like airplane parts procurement, aviation regulations, and government contracting. These pieces were designed to engage a highly specialized audience, including procurement officers, military contractors, and aerospace engineers.

The Solution

Launching 100 SEO-optimized articles to drive traffic and rankings

To establish GovernmentProcurement.com as a leader in aerospace procurement, we launched 100 SEO-optimized articles targeting specific, high-intent keywords across various service categories, including Aircraft Sustainment, Government Contracting Services, Military ISR Systems, and Aviation Logistics Partnerships. Each article was crafted based on extensive keyword research, designed to rank well for both short- and long-tail keywords.

Designing a fast, programmatic, and high-conversion website on Webflow

To ensure GovernmentProcurement.com was both fast and highly functional, we built the site on Webflow. This allowed for fast load times and a programmatic structure, with all service pages directly linked from the homepage. We also developed a custom Request a Quote feature, which went beyond a standard form. Users could input multiple part numbers, descriptions, manufacturers, and quantities—catering specifically to the complex aerospace procurement process. This feature streamlined the quoting process for users and delivered more detailed, qualified leads to the client, ultimately improving conversions and lead quality.

Building a strong domain authority with 400 keywords on page #1

Once the foundation was set, we implemented a targeted outreach strategy to build relationships with high-DR websites in the aerospace and defense industries, including ATT.com and other high DR sources. These quality backlinks were essential for strengthening GovernmentProcurement.com's domain authority and boosting its search engine rankings. Plus, we now have over 400 keywords on page #1 with 25% on the top 3 rankings.
